How did you get into Pink Floyd? I was brought up with rock and roll in my blood-Pink Floyd has always been there.
What made you join DSOTM? It was a great opportunity to sing timeless rock music with a great group of musicians.
Favorite Pink Floyd song and why? Wish You Were Here. I really liked the sound of the song from the first time I heard it, and after I grew up enough to really understand it, I loved it and still do.
Favorite Pink Floyd album and why? I’ll tell you if I ever decide!
What equipment do you use? Shure SM58 Beta Microphone
Brief musical history: I started playing the piano at 8 years old and played for 4 years. I began playing trumpet and singing in choirs before the teenage years hit and continued throughout high school. I picked up the guitar when I was 16, and since then I’ve continued to play the guitar, sing in choirs and various rock bands, and have recently picked up the bass.
Name of first band you were in: Jacob
Best gig and why? I love singing in bands, so any gig is a good gig. The gig that stands out in my mind though, is with my first band, Jacob. We played outside in the courtyard between the upper class dorms on the Marietta College campus for a party prior to graduation. There were hundreds of people there including all of our friends. The weather was great, spirits were high, and we were surrounded by wonderful people.
